I’m not originally from California, so every now and then I get a little homesick for the restaurants and food from my childhood.

Just imagine how stoked I was to hear that East Coast-style Meet N’ Potatoes was rolling up to AMP Radio today!

Husband Steve and wife Alainah both grew up out East and had no experience in the food industry prior to launching Meet N’ Potatoes!

In fact, Steve owns a Las Vegas-based sheet metal manufacturing company and Alainah heads up her own fashion design business.

They explained to Carson why they wanted to bring a taste from home out to the West Coast:

Steve and Alainah were inspired to start a food truck after attending the OC Foodie Fest last summer.

They were most passionate about East Coast cuisine, so they focused the menu on some of their old favorites.

If you’re looking for a sandwich stuffed to the max with yummy goodness, then this is the truck for you!

So how did they decide on the name Meet N’ Potatoes?

Well, Steve commonly refers to the essential ingredients of anything as the “meat n’ potatoes.”

They chose to spell it “meet” instead of “meat” because they thought this business would be a great platform for two LA newbies to get to meet new people.

Everybody wants to save a few bucks these days and Meet N’ Potatoes is looking out for the little guy with their latest promotion.
